Wirko helps companies organise shared accommodation and enables residents to communicate about their home. This policy explains how Wirko processes personal data.
Data we process
- Account and profile details, including email address, name, language, preferences and optional profile photo.
- Company, accommodation, room and bed assignments, including relevant stay dates and notes.
- Content submitted in the service, such as announcements, messages, support tickets, comments, events, tasks and responses.
- Optional photos and documents submitted for tickets, accommodation reports, cleaning tasks and shopping receipts.
- Device push notification tokens and notification preferences.
- Technical and security information needed to operate, protect and diagnose the service.
Why we use this data
We use personal data to create and secure accounts, provide the features requested by users and their company, deliver service emails and notifications, keep accommodation records accurate, provide support and prevent abuse. Wirko Bridge sends announcement and support request text to DeepL for translation into the user's chosen language. The original and translated text are stored in Wirko.
Who can see the data
Residents can see information intended for their assigned home. Company administrators can manage the company, accommodation and resident information within their organisation. Wirko uses service providers for authentication, database and file storage, hosting, email delivery, push notifications and, when enabled, translation. These providers process data only to provide their services to Wirko.
Storage and retention
Data is retained while the account or company workspace is active and for the time reasonably needed to provide support, protect the service and meet legal obligations. Data that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised. Some records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention or legal compliance.
Security and international processing
Wirko uses access controls, encrypted connections and tenant separation to protect information. Service providers may process data in countries outside the user's country, subject to appropriate contractual and legal safeguards.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, export or deletion of your personal data, and may change notification and language preferences in Wirko. Where applicable, you may also object to or restrict processing and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
Account deletion
You can start an account and associated data deletion request from the link inside Wirko or from our dedicated deletion page. We may need to verify the email address before completing the request.
Children
Wirko is a workplace accommodation service and is not directed to children.
